# Disabling GitHub member synchronization

Manage GitHub member synchronization for organizations bound to GitHub.com. This feature is not supported for GHE.com or GHES.

When you disable [GitHub member synchronization](/sonarqube-cloud/administering-sonarcloud/about-sonarqube-cloud-solution/user-management/github-member-synchronization.md), manage membership in the SonarQube Cloud organization manually. SonarQube Cloud no longer adds or removes members automatically.

When you enable synchronization manually, members of the SonarQube Cloud organization who aren’t members of the corresponding GitHub organization will be removed from the organization.

To enable or disable GitHub member synchronization for your GitHub.com-bound organization:

1. Retrieve your organization. See [Retrieving your organizations](/sonarqube-cloud/getting-started/viewing-organizations.md) for more details.
2. Go to **Members**.
3. Select **Configure**. The Members Management dialog opens.
4. Select the manual or automatic option and **Save**.
