Installation overview

Main steps for installing SonarQube Server 2025.3 on Kubernetes or Openshift.

This section explains how to install SonarQube Server on Kubernetes or OpenShift (see also the Helmchart documentation). It does not apply to the Data Center Edition. For the latter, see Installing on Kubernetes or Openshift).

To deploy the SonarQube Server on Kubernetes or OpenShift:

  1. Read Before you start.

  2. Customize the SonarQube Server Helm chart. See Customizing Helm chart.

  3. Install the Helm chart. See Installing Helm chart.

  4. Once your SonarQube Server is installed and running, you can access SonarQube Server UI in your web browser (the default system administrator credentials are admin/admin) and you’re ready to begin analyzing source code. See Project analysis setup.

  5. If necessary, encrypt helm chart sensitive data. See Encrypting sensitive data.
