Setting up the connection to Slack

To set up the SonarQube Cloud connection to Slack you must connect your Slack workspace to SonarQube Cloud.

SonarQube Cloud integration with Slack is a beta feature, subject to the terms here.

Prerequisites

You must be an admin of your Slack workspace.

Connecting your Slack workspace to SonarQube Cloud

There may be a warning saying that the app is not approved by Slack. This is expected as long as the current release is not available for the public in the Slack marketplace. 


Proceed as follows:

1. In your Slack workspace's navigation bar, select More > Automation > Apps.

2. In the top right corner, select the Open Slack marketplace button.

3. Search for SonarQube app and install it. Once the installation is complete, the Permissions page opens.

4. Configure and validate the permissions. SonarQube Cloud is now connected to your Slack workspace.

Users can now subscribe to notifications in the workspace.
