Step 2: Configure SAML SSO in IdP and SonarQube Cloud

This page explains in a generic way how to configure SAML SSO in your identity provider and in SonarCloud. If you use Okta or Microsoft Entra ID, see the corresponding page:

Register SonarQube Cloud in your identity provider

You must register SonarQube Cloud in your identity provider. Any SAML identity provider can be used. 

Configure SAML SSO in SonarQube Cloud

You must be the administrator of the enterprise in SonarQube Cloud.

Proceed as follows:

1. In SonarQube Cloud, retrieve your enterprise.

2. Select Administration > SAML Single Sign On (SSO). The SAML SSO page opens.

3. Go to step 3 of the SAML configuration section.

4. Fill in the step with the SAML SSO information you set when registering SonarQube Cloud in your Identity Provider.

5. Select Save configuration. SonarQube Cloud is trying to connect to your Identity Provider. If the connection is established, the page collapses to the essential SAML settings.
